The banksters have a bird in the hand and a bird in the bush. They never lose because when they gamble with your deposits at "their" banks they have a bird in the hand. The Federal Reserve System is there to create money out of thin air and lend it to banks at a below market interest rates (a "market rate" being based on what you and I would think would be an appropriate rate for the risk invovled). This allows the banksters to bail themselves out. 

Banksters have a bird in the bush because they can lend multiples (usually 10 times) of the amount of any deposits they hold for you at the bank. This is called fractional reserve banking and it means the banks only have a fraction of the reserves that they would have if they were required to keep one dollar in the bank for each dollar they lent out. They usually lend out 7 to 10 times the amount of the deposits that they have on their books. The reason there were bank runs in the old days is that citizens understood this and there were no computers to wire money to banks with a push of a button. The other reason was that money was officially backed by gold or silver before 1973. Not anymore. All you have is a credit memo or piece of worthless paper.

Tomorrow the Chair of the Board will say some drivel to the public about how the Federal Reserve has everything under control and that markets are normalizing with some disruptions from Russia and oil prices. What they won't say is how their irresponsible financial engineering by creating money out of thin air to buy bonds and mortgages to drive interest rates to near zero steals money from the savings of responsible citizens and veterans and grandmothers and grandfathers who worked their entire life so that they may retire someday. No. You won't hear how the FED bails out the banksters and irresponsible borrowers and pays off the public unions and helps the government spend money on wars and silly projects and political payoffs. You won't hear that. 

You won't hear how easy money allowed every Tom, Dick and Harry to get money to drill oil wells in the Permian Basin because banks could finance operations that would never exist in a true free market with a true free market interest rate and with free market returns (as well as free market failures). If you read the financial statements of most of the new drillers, and look at the build up in debt, it would make your head spin. Most were never free cash flow positive even with oil over 100 dollars. Imagine what their finances are like with oil at 50 dollars.  

You may not remember the last two train wrecks from the FED's easy money policies. Let me remind you. The first big one was after the year 2000 when Greenspan flooded the market with money because everyone thought the computers were all going to blow up when they turned over to the year 2000. Then came 9/11. The second one was caused by pumping up the real estate market to unsustainable levels up until 2008. The "official" reasons the FED does this are always the same. The FED is saving the markets, saving the banks or monitoring employment levels but the real reason is merely to enrich those who control the money supply. Heavy government regulation makes only the politically connected rich. Free markets allows everyone to get rich (along with the requisite responsibility of managing your own money). Do you want to take a shot at getting elected to get rich or do want to do what you want to get rich and not have it taken from you from the FED's constant inflation of the money supply? 

Easy money never ends well. Don't believe the snake when she tells you this time is different.

No matter what, the FED will be there to bail out the banks (even the ones that lent money to Tom, Dick and Harry). That is why the banksters created the FED in the first place.

I have said it once and said it 100 times. End the FED. We will all be better off.

ECONOMICS TRUMPS POLITICS

The reason politicians should not meddle with markets is because the market will eventually do what the market wants to do. The market is you and me and all the other market participants. Artificially creating floors and ceilings for prices and wages and creating onerous regulations only artificially changes prices for a short time until the market eventually corrects. 

The most egregious market interference is when one person, like the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, determines what the market should be (instead of all of the market participants). The FED is currently using non-market oriented gimmicks to keep interest rates artificially low and the result is that the low rates are driving investment into projects that would not be profitable if interest rates were higher. But alas, interest rates will go up because the FED will not be able to make its gimmicks work forever. When that happens we will have another market crash. It is as inevitable as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west.

Barron's had a great article explaining why today's college students today should have to do manual labor and get their hands dirty before moving on with their careers ... if for no other reason than to understand how the other half lives. I would take the article one step further and require government workers to work in the private sector before their eventual resting place as government employees (or worse career politicians). 

Maybe Lois Lerner would not have singled out hard working Libertarians if she had been a ditch digger for a highway crew before leading the IRS down the dark road of government interference and incompetence. Maybe Lois Lerner believes her ideology is the "right thing" to do but one must only look to the results of a person's actions or policies instead of the intentions. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Remember, hell is full of good meanings, but heaven is full of good works.

The Federal Reserve, a bank created to bail out the banks when the banks do stupid things, currently holds about a quarter of all U.S. debt. The Federal Reserve creates money out of thin air and currently buys 40% of U.S. debt issuance. This is the reason your mom and dad paid a nickel for a soda when they were young and you now pay $5 a bottle at amusement parks for the same thing (actually you don't get as good a soda as they had because their's was made with sucrose and your's is made with high fructose corn syrup because of the sugar lobby). The extra money in circulation causes prices to go up and hurts the poor more than the rich as the poor do not have assets that appreciate to "keep up with inflation." Keeping up with inflation is basically owning hard assets that go up in price as more money is required to buy the same amount of goods with more money in circulation.

THE NEW POLITICO CLASS:

 NOTHING MORE THAN ELECTED USED CAR SALESPEOPLE

Euripides said, "Virtue proceeds through effort." So it is no surprise that a self-proclaimed "lazy" President does not take the time to understand easy economic principles or if he does understand economics and he promotes policies that fly in the face of those simple economic policies ... well ... we are in much more trouble than I thought. I will take the side that the President is just ignorant and not intentionally lying to pander to the public for support. That assumption would make Obama nothing more than a elected whore. Let's not go there (or at least save it for another day).

What happens when you raise the price of something? Do people buy more or less of it ... all other factors remaining the same? If you can buy 2 six packs of Coke for 5 dollars or 3 six packs for the same amount do you take the 2 six packs for the same price? Of course not. The same can be said of the Democrat's golden calf, minimum wage hikes. Obama and his buddies keep pushing minimum wage laws pretending they would help the working poor but knowing full well they don't. Why do they do this? Because they know the Republicans will not push legislation through that hurt the working poor. If you raise the price for labor there will be less demand for it not unlike person who buys more Coke when the price is lower and less when the price is higher. It is very simple to understand. The only ones who try to convolute the simplicity of the minimum wage laws are those who are trying to con you. They are looking to game the system (and you) by using government force with minimum wage laws. That is not the free market capitalism that made this country great. It is easy for the President to say Republicans hate the poor because they will not sign off on new minimum wage legislation. The Democrats are glib on that fib. 

Obama will say why can't Walmart pay the same wages as Costco. If you figure in the amount of sales per employee, they already do. The fact is that Walmart's employees are 1/2 as efficient as Costco's employees if you figure in the sales per employee. Do the math. I did. So if Walmart fired half of their employees and the remaining employees did twice as much work then they would be the equivalent of the Costco employee. Of course there would be much higher unemployment because Walmart is the largest public employer in the United States. Obama won't tell you that because all he cares about is politics which has nothing to do with economics. However, it is economics and economic policies that will determine if your standard of living will go up or down. The problem for you is that politicians have nothing to benefit by promoting sound economic policies which would call for smaller government and less public assistance.

Much of the deterioration of this country can be attributed to the fact this country is turning into more of a Democracy than a Republic. Plato laid out the difference between a democracy and a republic in The Republic. Unfortunately, every bonehead 18 years or older can vote for any career politician who runs for office in this democratic country. In a republic, only a small percentage of the population that usually possess virtue, wisdom and knowledge to maintain and protect society may vote for the elected leaders. In the United States early voters were required to own 50 acres of land to vote. In our day and age there may be other useful proxies rather than land ownership to vet those that should be able to vote but the case can easily be made there should be some requirement that those who are electing the leaders that are deploying the wealth of the nation should have some skin in the game before they are permitted to cast a vote.

The problem with our society is that any moron may enter a voting booth. Those who have not put any more thought into electing a President other than "it would be cool to elect a black President" or "he looks cooler that the other stiff" are permitted to vote along side those who have spent the time and effort to start a business and understand the burdens the government regulation or those that have devoted their lives to figuring out how economies are benefited by free markets so that they may improve their lot in life. The result of morons voting is that our leaders are more like used car salesmen, pitching their ignorance of subject matter that is objective, rather than the protectors of our republic which we so desperately need.

Subjective subject matter such as whether or not we are all better off with socialized medical care can be discussed ad infinitum without reaching a logical conclusion to everyone's satisfaction but minimum wage laws are not subjective ... they are objective. It is a waste of time and effort to discuss them so much from an economic perspective but the same minimum wage laws are hand fed fodder to the ignorant by our current political class for their own enjoyment AND EMPLOYMENT.

You have to love a charismatic speaker but you don't have to love standing in food lines with your ration coupon from the government. Not only has government interference caused previously abundant supplies of toilet paper to run out but now you will find it hard to obtain tooth paste (do you really need to brush your teeth if you don't eat anything?). 

Socialism is no laughing matter. It, along with its brother and sister Marxism and Communism and its cousin Fascism, has destroyed more lives in the 20th century than all the World Wars. In China the Communists killed all the property owners and landlords. In Russia they took the business owners productive property and turned it over to the workers who let it rot. In Germany if you were not a productive member of society then there was no need for you and you were terminated for frailty or old age. And there was massive starvation. These are the ugly stories you should be told over and over again when confronted by someone espousing big government and socialist programs. It is no joke.

Our country was founded on FREEDOM and the right to be protected from government abuses. Included in our Constitution is the right to be represented in court. That does not mean a lawyer is required to represent someone, however. And the fact that Hillary attacked the character of a 12 year old rape victim, as has been repeatedly reported but not in the major media networks for some strange reason, tells you very much about the character of Hillary.  

According to reported stories regarding Hillary Clinton in her early years as a lawyer, she was asked to represent a man who was accused of raping a 12 year old girl as a favor and she agreed to do it. It is implied from her story that she could have refused because she was asked to represent the accused rapist as a favor. She said yes. Most people would say no. 

A private lawyer could always say no when asked to represent someone. If she was a public defender she would be required to represent the man if she wanted to or not. Hillary was not a public defender at the time.

 I don't know too many lawyers that would represent an accused rapist of a 12 year old girl (unless they are looking for headlines or they have no moral compass). Once again, Hillary said yes and did represent the accused rapist. 

It has also been been reported the Hillary said, "I had him take a polygraph, which he passed – which forever destroyed my faith in polygraphs.” Why would she say that unless she believed he was guilty? Furthermore, if she agreed to represent the accused rapist before the polygraph was taken then she is not too smart. I would require someone to pass the polygraph to my satisfaction, and have that fact put in writing, before I would agree to represent an accused rapist of a 12 year old girl (which I would never do anyways even if I was the best defense attorney in town).

U.S. corporations are leaving the United States as fast as they can as they seek more friendly business environments in other countries. Obama will propose legislation that will put handcuffs on U.S. corporations that will make it harder for them to leave for those more friendly business environments. That is like putting a band aid on a broken bone. It doesn't solve any problems. The U.S. has one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world and those corporations that have left already will never return. The corporations that left create jobs and taxation in the countries they flee to. Obama will say it is a race to the bottom but I say why give the government more of your money to redistribute?

Redistribution, as Obama is so fond of, is also known as Marxism, socialism and communism. My friend Lewis from Cuba explains redistribution and socialism by asking the following question, "If our neighborhood was allowed to come into my home and take any food from my refrigerator anytime they liked then they would have that much less incentive to work for the free food they receive and I would go broke and eventually starve to death because no one is giving me any food."

In addition to feeding the redistribution pig that never seems to get smaller, government intervention into free markets for alleged "patriotic reasons" is actually unpatriotic. Who remembers the K car by Chrysler? It may have been the most horrible people mover ever created. If you were patriotic and bought an American car you may have bought a K car. Detroit was happy and didn't change their ways or become more competitive because you were "patriotic."

Now assume you did not fall for the "patriotic" call to duty and instead you purchased a better quality imported car. You are the true patriot. Why? Because you did not support a company that built an inferior product through some ill informed "patriotic duty" and instead purchased a product that was superior in construction you forced American car companies to COMPETE FOR CUSTOMERS THROUGH THE FREE MARKET. Competition for consumers makes companies provide better products and become more productive. Government intervention and the bully pulpit merely entrenches established companies and practices. 

If you want to see what kind of car you would have if the production of cars was government run just google "Trabant" or click the link below. After you added six gallons of gas to the small tank you would have to add 2-stroke motor oil and then shake the car back and forth (unless you always carried a 6 gallon gas can with you). Those East German communists sure knew how to make a joke.

Handcuffing corporations to an outdated tax system to save jobs may sound nice but in reality it is merely a gimmicky sound bite that allows Obama to justify his salary. If Obama was a CEO of a corporation and he gave away the corporation's assets the way he is giving away assets from our U.S. Treasury he would be long gone by now.

Handcuffing corporations to this country sounds more like something Stalin would do in the U.S.S.R. The U.S.A. is beginning to look more and more like the U.S.S.A. (United Socialist States of American.

EXPLOITATION OF THE MIDDLE CLASS

Obama is doing a great job of following Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" to appeal to the middle class to always do the "right thing" even when he, or his buddy Eric Holder, won't.

It has been reported that approximately 55,000 children have crossed our southern border since October of 2013. Is there a Civil War in Mexico? No. A natural disaster? No. Then why now? Why is there a crisis all of a sudden and we have NEVER had so many people cross the border like they are now?

Because Obama and Holder are ignoring the Constitution (again). They are not protecting our country. They are not doing their jobs. And they are creating chaos. This is just another way Obama is appealing to the middle class to do the "right thing." It is a moral appeal. That is what politicians always do. They can't come out and say that they will gain more political power over you life and your pocketbook. That is not as good an argument. 

Obama can use the NSA and listen into every conversation in this country or use a drone to kill a person halfway around the world with pinpoint accuracy but he can't find ONE PERSON attempting to cross the border into our country. If you believe that then you can't be helped. But if you realize Obama is just letting this happen because he wants to diminish this country's prominence and redistribute wealth then it makes sense.

So what are Obama and Holder doing? When they are not sitting around coming up with schemes to get money or votes from creating some stupid regulation, they are spending their time threatening our citizens. It has been reported that a cameraman has been told by the government they would be thrown in jail for reporting on illegal immigration at an immigration shelter. The shelter is housing 2,000 illegal immigrants at a cost to taxpayer of approximately $250 a person a day. 

Every day we look more like the old U.S.S.R. The government only wants you to see what they want you to see ... even if they are watching and listening to your every move.

Obama has studied Alinsky well and he knows if you start with nothing and ask for everything and you end up with 30% of something ... you are still 30% ahead of nothing. That is the way Obama negotiates. That is why compromise is not acceptable when dealing with people like Obama. Compromise, when it is used by Marxist politicians like Obama, has no logical end other than the complete destruction of our Constitution and country as we know it. 

Obama is not going to tell you he is a Marxist. You need to figure that out for yourself through reading and studying the man's history and background. Spend some time studying the man and you will find he has said he is for and against just about everything and anything. You would be a fool to believe almost anything the man has ever said. Rather look to who he spent his time with and how he has spent his life.  

Don't let a Marxist play to your emotions with endless appeals to your morality. A leader should lead and not use "Rules for Radicals" to divide and conquer and to sacrifice the middle class like pawns that can be discarded at the King's will. 

Obama doesn't have my back and he doesn't have yours. 

You don't need to sacrifice anything for your country other than your support for our Constitution. We won't need a draft to get you to fight if our country is really under siege. You don't need to be taxed if someone is really in need. You will help someone under your own free will because you will feel obligated and because you were brought up right. You don't need a politician to tell you that you need to pay your "fair share." Besides, at least about 30% of what you pay into the government will be lost through fraud, poor resource utilization or political pay-offs. 

You will be amazed when you read Rules for Radicals. It is like stealing the other team's playbook, not unlike Coach Gruden of the Tampa Bay Bucs playing his old team the Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII ... except the stakes are much greater.

Some may say Obama grew up without a father but you could make a good case that Big Government was his father and thus ... his love for it. We are all a product of our perceptions.

Thus Obambi has become the white liberals' Christ, offering absolution from the Sin of Being White. There is no reason or logic behind it, no faults or flaws of his can diminish it, no arguments Hillary could make of any kind can be effective against it. The absurdity of Hypocrisy Clothed In Human Flesh being their Savior is all the more cause for liberals to worship him: Credo quia absurdum, I believe it because it is absurd.

Thank heavens that the voting majority of Americans remain Christian and are in no desperate need of a phony savior.

PLAYING POLITICS WITH IMMIGRATION

Obama doesn't care about the American towns that are being destroyed on the American border. All he cares about is winning more Democratic votes for Congress in the next election.

What is the game plan? Do nothing. Let the Republicans complain about the destruction and health threats that are taking place. Forget about the complaints that are being stifled by the government and the media ... about people wanting to report scabies and TB that the illegal immigrants are bringing into our country or the terrible strain on public resources that is taking place in border cities all along the American border. Nope. That doesn't matter to a man who is willing to sacrifice some individuals for the benefit of others. To Obama, one individual does not matter. To you and me, that is all that matters. Obama is the man who decides winners and losers and plays politics with your lives and the lives of your children.

The game plan is to let the Republicans do something about it. There is no good answer so whatever the Republicans do they will be bastardized by the Democrats and the Hispanic vote will fall in line behind the do-nothing President like the African American vote does with the help of what I call racism baiters like Jesse Jackson. 

Our self proclaimed lazy President will make flowery speeches and pretend he understands the economic situation but the only thing he understands is that most of the American public is more stupid and lazy than he is so he will feed them all a bunch of BS and it will be eaten up ... and the American public will have smiles on their faces as they do it. And the President will make his goofy a** smile. And the heavens will part and the world will be saved. Or not.

Obama says some government programs don't work. What? Say that again. Yes. Obama actually said that although if it wasn't recorded no one would believe it. Click on the video below to see it with your own eyes. 

Obama said that the Import-Export Bank is nothing more than "a fund for corporate welfare." Even with this on the record I do not know of any government agency that has been eliminated since Obama has become President.

What has the President cut? Nothing that I know of except for one thing. We can all give Obama credit for getting our military troops out of Iraq which is a war that we will never win and a war that will continue throughout our lifetimes and the lifetimes of our children. It is not our war and we do nothing except make those who live there despise us for being there with military weapons. We don't belong there (and many other nations as well) AND our Constitution does not permit it. We can all be grateful that our children will no longer have to die in Iraq merely because some government official wants to fight a war there. That money (and lives) would be better spent here at home taking care of the indigent, paying down debt or taking care of our elderly.

So what does the Import-Export Bank (IEB) do? The IEB takes your hard earned tax dollars and puts them into a non-elected government employees hands so that employee may use the power of their government position to dole out money to people in other countries to buy products made in the U.S.A.  

The main point in the preceding paragraph is that a government official gives out money that belongs to taxpayers. That creates a condition ripe for bribery and fraud (as described in The Daily Signal's article below) and it picks winners and losers. 

If you are not a huge corporation and you don't have lobbyists you might as well forget about getting any of the IEB money. The IEB scheme makes products more expensive here while making them less expensive overseas. Taxpayers here are on the hook for buyers in foreign countries who may or may not make payment for the goods and services bought and sold. Additionally, we are subsidizing those companies that have close ties to our government (creating a more fascist government) and also subsidizing foreigners at the expense of hard working Americans. 

The IEB scheme, as promulgated by our government, is contrary to what made this country great ... liberty and justice for all. Now ... if we could just get our Weasel-In-Chief to do something he said he would do and stop the corporate welfare.

Those that like to read about history know what Stalin's proletarian "purging" of the businessmen and women did to society in the early 1900's. Stalin was a great politician, much like comrade Obama, but he was shortsighted and ignorant in matters of economics. Such is the case for our blameless and shameless leader who makes a mockery out of our Constitution while professing to have been a Constitutional Law professor. The Supreme Court just ruled that his appointment of the head of the National Relations Board was unconstitutional and all the idiot in chief can do is blame the Tea Party for obstructing what he calls his "progress." Milton Friedman had it right, especially in the case of men like Obama, that if you put the government in charge of the Sahara in 5 years there would be a shortage of sand.

Everything Obama does seems to get him some votes from some special interest group yet he does not appear to have any moral spine and absolutely no economic education. Why is it he blames everything on business yet businesses do not spy on you (like the NSA), businesses do not lock you up and deny you rights (like the IRS) or violate your constitutional rights (like Obama himself) ... yet businesses are the bad guys and government is the good guy. The only good thing about Obama stripping everyone of their rights is that some of these previously unconscious human beings are waking up and realizing their lives and their freedoms are being diminished by a leviathan led by a louse.

Obamacare was created to help those who go broke with healthcare costs. Obama's answer was to bankrupt the country by conspiring with healthcare companies and creating a bureaucratic nightmare.

Costs won't go down until you create a real market where people compete for goods and services. Vouchers would accomplish the goal of lowering prices as it would create a market where people shop for their insurance instead of prices being mandated from Washington, D.C.

According to the Wall Street Journal the IRS scandal is more serious than Watergate.

Why you ask?

“The IRS tea-party audit story isn't Watergate; it's worse than Watergate,” according to deputy Wall Street Journal editor Daniel Henninger.

“The Watergate break-in was the professionals of the party in power going after the party professionals of the party out of power. The IRS scandal is the party in power going after the most average Americans imaginable,” he added.

The IRS scandal is big government going after people who don't like big government. The funding for candidates that don't trust or believe in big government were not permitted to raise money because their non-profit statuses were being stalled by the IRS. They stalled the non-profits until after the Presidential election. Is there any wonder some people hate Obama and what he stands for?

Obama's excuse is right out of Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals playbook. First he denies he knows anything. He takes no responsibility for anything that he does and takes responsibility for the good deed of others even though he has nothing to do with those deeds. Then he deflects blame onto someone other than himself. And finally he makes some snide remark with a chuckle to deride and diminish those who make accusations implicating him in one of his many scandals.

Where is the accountability you ask? There is none.

How about Lois Lerner. Lois Lerner should not be permitted to take the 5th as a government employee and keep her pension. If she wants to take the fifth for herself then fine ... but she should forfeit her pension because I don't want my employee to screw me and keep getting paid. As a government worker Lois Lerner is my employee ... and your too. Screw Lois Lerner if she is going to play games on my time, on my clock, and with my money.

We need to make a law that makes it perfectly clear that government employees may take the fifth but then they forfeit the right to any further payment. Write it in the contract. There is no reason the IRS should be able to lie to the American people.

You have a President that appears to love Karl Marx, who is using the Cloward-Piven strategy to further the socialist programs of the Democratic party and who some say worships Saul Alinsky who was the original community organizer ... and just as horrible a person as Obama.

The Russian Revolution of October 25, 1917 started with a few very well organized individuals who believed in the collective more than the individual. They went into Petrograd (St. Petersburg) and took over without even one death. Those in power handed the state over to the wage earners and all property was taken over by the State. Everything you owned was now owned by the State. You owned nothing. The lack of property ownership led to neglect of property and eventually the fall of the Soviet Union.

The name of the party that took over was the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party. They were very much like our current Democratic Party lead by Obama and his ship of fools including Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, and the list goes on and on with politicians who are willing to sell you out for a vote because they believe you are too ignorant to figure out how the world really works. Why do what is right when that takes time and effort to explain when they can just fling a soundbite at you and get your vote?

"DEAD BROKE" HILLARY CLINTON

Poor Hillary. She and Bill were almost broke when they left the Whitehouse. Oh ... my bleeding heart. 

And why did she and Billy Bob have to spend so much on legal fees again ... ? 

Hillary needs to get out of politics and stop forcing her Marxist teachings on the rest of us. The USSR fell because it took away the individual's motivation through socialism and communism. I wish Hillary would get that through her thick head. Take away the right to own and control property and what do people have to look forward to? Hello Hillary ... anyone home??? 

In the Communist Manifesto, Engles and Marx told the proletarians (or the wage workers) to kill off the bourgeoisie (or the property owning middle and higher classes) so that they cannot exploit the proletarians. Engles and Marx just assumed that everyone would continue to work very hard for the "common good" but in reality people have their own motivations and self-interests. 

People need to own their own bodies and property so that they may improve their lot in life. Without property ownership and the right to not be told what to do with oneself there is no incentive to do anything except sit around and drink vodka. Thus is the reason the USSR fell.

In addition, if you own property you take care of it. Become a landlord and you will learn that lesson very quickly. The State in the USSR never imagined that it would not be able to operate the machines that the bourgeoisie owned ... but that is what happened. There were fewer goods and production shrank until everyone had very little ... just remnants from before the Russian Revolution. 

Anyone who thinks you should just take property from the rich and distribute it to the poor really needs to sit down and spend some serious time studying socialist and communist countries and why they have ALL FAILED.   

You don't have to go to law school or become and MBA to understand that the mathematicians and government economists in Washington, D.C. cannot do as good a job figuring out what your community needs as you can. Mandatory central planning, the axiom of socialism and communism, strips the individual of freedom, property, ideas and eventually consciousness. I worry that the fascination with zombies is a reflection of our current society.     

A more interesting story about Hillary and Billy Bob would be a detailed story of the reasons they needed so many attorneys and incurred so many legal fees. That is a book I would read (but it couldn't be an autobiography because I don't believe anything Hillary says ... or writes).

Anyways ... after Benghazi ... do you really want her with her finger on the button? 

This is her responding to the question of whether or not she was responsible for the security at Benghazi: 

"I take responsibility," she said, but then added: "But I was not making security decisions." So she was responsible but she wasn't responsible.

That sounds like a line out George Orwell's Animal Farm. All pigs are not created equal.

How about a big, "I am sorry" to the families of the men who died?

I really hate people like Hillary and those that use the political process to force their mental midget ideas and supposed altruism on others.

THE FIGHT AGAINST THE MACHINE

I received the following email from Rand Paul today with a petition to reign in the crooks in Washington, D.C. 

I am signing it and I hope you do too.

Prices are going up at unprecedented rates in our country because of all the irresponsible spending by our politicians. The money the government prints to pay bills that it cannot afford with existing money is making your cost of food, energy, housing, transportation and everything else go up much faster than your wages ... thus causing you to become poorer.

If you do not understand inflation then I urge you to read Ron Paul's books on how the political system is designed to destroy your wealth through an invisible tax called inflation. The politicians understand it well and use it to buy your votes with schemes of grandeur.

Today, the feds run 79 different welfare programs, 160 programs for housing assistance, 47 for job training, 82 for teacher quality, 80 for transportation assistance, and 56 for financial education.

In return for all that, we still have a history of stagnant education scores and an official poverty rate of 15 percent.

Yet Barack Obama and his tax-and-spend buddies keep binging and pushing for higher taxes.

But instead of stopping President Obama, his tax-and-spend allies merely give lip service to "fiscal responsibility" and "economic sanity."

The fact is, unless you and I force Members of Congress to put their money where their mouth is, the status quo of give-ins and giveaways will continue.

SEATTLE RAISES THE MINIMUM WAGE TO $15 AN HOUR

Does anyone really think the government can do anything to improve their lot in life. Milton Friedman said if you put the government in charge of the Sahara it would run out of sand in five years. If the government can mandate wages what can't it mandate? Whatever happened to freedom to contract and freedom of association?

Watch all the goody-two-shoes progressives mince their words as small businesses close down or flee Seattle. This should be interesting. 

One thing for sure about raising the minimum wage ... it all sounds good if you pretend ignorance is bliss. 

There will be some politicians bragging on their websites and resumes that they helped raise the minimum wage even if you are unemployed or have to pay $10 for a cup of coffee.
